The Argument: Creationism Vs. Evolutionism
Wilbert H. Rusch, Sr. 1984. Creation Research Society Monograph Series No. 3. Creation Research Society Books, 87 pages.

This book is an excellent introduction to the fundamental issues surrounding the creation vs. evolution battle. Written by a former CRS president and college professor, a concise history of the evolutionary concept is provided. The two models, creation and evolution, are compared along with a discussion of the basics of scientific inquiry. The limits to variation possible in nature are explored, and the fossil record is examined to show which model best fits the evidence. This monograph, and its companion volume (Origins: What Is at Stake?), will interest both the layperson and the scientist.

The Biotic Message: Evolution Vs. Message Theory
Walter James Remine. 1993. St Paul Science, 542 pages. (hard cover).

The universe including the earth, especially life, was constructed so that a message (scientifically determined) proclaims that life came from a designer. The observable evidence contradicts evolutionary naturalism. The book is authoritative and should be read by scientists and students of science.

Bones of Contention: A Creationist Assessment of Human Fossils (revised & updated)
Marvin L. Lubenow. 2004. Baker Books, 400 pages.

In this revised and updated version of his 1992 book, Lubenow not only covers most of his previous material with updates, but also adds a significant amount of new material. This new material includes the changing fortunes of Neandertal man in the eyes of scientists, the mtDNA data for Neandertal Man, the Mitochondrial Eve snafu, the basic racism in supposed human evolution, and new data on the RATE project (RATE stands for Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth). More than ever, the abundant fossil material shows that we did not evolve but were specially created.

Dinosaurs and Creation: Questions and Answers
Donald B. DeYoung. 2000. Baker Books, 141 pages.

Children, parents, and scientists are fascinated by dinosaurs. But nearly all discussions of dinosaurs in museums and textbooks assume a distant evolutionary beginning to the earth. Don DeYoung demonstrates that evolution is not the only explanation for the existence and death of the dinosaurs. He uses a question-and-answer format to offer creationist explanations.

Evolution: The Fossils Still Say No!
Duane T. Gish. 1996. Institute for Creation Research, 391 pages.

Dr. Gish wrote his first book on evolution and the fossil record some 24 years ago. This book is vastly enlarged and thoroughly updated, making it essentially a brand new treatment of the subject. It is undoubtedly the most thorough and well-documented critique ever published on the supposed paleontological and anthropological evidences for evolution. With devastating facts and logic, Dr. Gish documents in detail, from the writings of evolutionists themselves, the complete absence of any true evolutionary transitional forms among the billions of fossilized animals in the earth's sedimentary rocks. Indeed, the fossil record offers compelling evidence for the special creation of man and each basic kind of plant and animal. Every creationist will want to read this book.

Evolution: The Grand Experiment, Vol. 2 Living Fossils
Carl Werner 2008. New Leaf Press in conjunction with Audio Visual Consultants Inc., 274 pages (hard cover)

Living fossils are a challenge for evolutionary theorists. Dr. Werner goes through hundreds of living fossils with 700 breathtaking color photos from all over the world. He compares the fossil with the living representative and has interviewed evolutionary experts on the state of the evidence.

The Fossil Book: Wonders of Creation
Gary and Mary Parker, 2006. Master Books, 80 pages.

Fossils have fascinated humans for centuries. But where did they come from, and how long have they been around? These and many other questions are answered in this remarkable book. This book will also teach about such topics as the origin of fossils, how to start your own fossil collection, the age of fossils, how to identify fossils, and how the Flood affected fossil formation. This is the fifth in the “Wonders of Creation” scientific series for children and adults.

The Natural Limits to Biological Change
Lane P. Lester and Raymond G. Bohlin. 1984. Zondervan Publishing House / Probe Ministries, 207 pages.

This study is a careful evaluation of Neo-Darwinism and its challenger, punctuated equilibrium, as models for the evolution of life on earth. Neo-Darwinists hold that organisms are able to respond to only minor fluctuations in their environments, and that evolution is a gradual process. The absence of evidence for gradualism in the fossil record inspired the punctuated equilibrium view which seeks to explain the history of life as it seems to be recorded by the fossils. In this view, evolution is believed to occur at an erratic pace, with selection acting on the species as well as the individual. The primary weakness of this position is the absence of credible biologic mechanisms. The evidence in favor of limited change leads to "Another Alternative," which is the title of the book's last chapter. Creation is shown to provide the best fit with both the fossil record and known biologic processes.

Studies in Flood Geology (2nd edition)
John Woodmorappe. 1999. Institute for Creation Research, ca. 200 pages.

Over the years the author has developed a unique model, based upon the Genesis Flood, for the distribution of land vertebrates, stratigraphic separation of fossils, supposed correlation of the geological column, dating methods, and other matters important to flood geology and creationism. Originally published in the Creation Research Society Quarterly and presented at the International Conferences on Creationism, these materials have been combined into this single volume. The Second Edition has improved figures, common pagination, a list of study questions, and a comprehensive index. This work is intended for the serious student of flood geology.
