Natural History in the Biblical Worldview: Foundation and Framework
John K. Reed. 2001. CRS Monograph Series No. 11. Creation Research Society, 103 pages.
You don’t have to be a Ph.D. scientist to appreciate the fundamental errors of evolution and uniformitarianism—errors of logic and common sense. The book is a compilation of articles published in the Creation Research Society Quarterly that document the error of a “scientific” approach to natural history and supply a foundation for rebuilding it in its proper context. It emphasizes the necessity of the Bible as a foundation, a framework, as well as an infallible record of true natural history. The hypocrisy of naturalistic evolution and uniformitarianism are attacked from the inside out as this book unveils their hidden assumptions, based on, of all things, the Bible that they so vigorously criticize!

The Natural Limits to Biological Change
Lane P. Lester and Raymond G. Bohlin. 1984. Zondervan Publishing House / Probe Ministries, 207 pages.
This study is a careful evaluation of Neo-Darwinism and its challenger, punctuated equilibrium, as models for the evolution of life on earth. Neo-Darwinists hold that organisms are able to respond to only minor fluctuations in their environments, and that evolution is a gradual process. The absence of evidence for gradualism in the fossil record inspired the punctuated equilibrium view which seeks to explain the history of life as it seems to be recorded by the fossils. In this view, evolution is believed to occur at an erratic pace, with selection acting on the species as well as the individual. The primary weakness of this position is the absence of credible biologic mechanisms. The evidence in favor of limited change leads to "Another Alternative," which is the title of the book's last chapter. Creation is shown to provide the best fit with both the fossil record and known biologic processes.

The North American Midcontinent Rift System
John K. Reed. 2000. CRS Monograph Series No. 9. Creation Research Society, approx. 186 pages.
A young-earth-diluvial understanding of the past demands a reinterpretation of the uniformitarian version of earth history. Another step in the process has been taken with the publication of this new CRS monograph. The Midcontinent Rift System is one of the most significant basement features in central North America, extending through six states. The monograph summarizes the results of published research and incorporates those data into the Biblical model. This model presents the Midcontinent Rift as a feature formed during the Genesis Flood. It is directed towards those trained in geology, but is written to help any interested person understand the age and follow the major arguments.

Not By Chance!
Lee Spetner. 1996.The Judaica Press, 272 pages.
Biologists and geneticists across the country are praising physicist Dr. Lee Spetner's book as one of the most serious challenges to the modern theory of evolution. Using detailed probabilistic analysis, Spetner shows that mutations cannot provide the new information required for macroevolution. "...[He] has an extraordinary ability to present complex mathematical, statistical, and biological issues in a comprehensible manner." --Rabbi Joseph Elias, The Jewish Observer. "It is certainly the most rational attack on evolution that I have ever read" --Professor E. Simon, Department of Biology, Purdue University.
