Plate Tectonics: A Different View
Edited by John K. Reed. 2001. Creation Research Society Books, 191 pages.
For many years, creationists have debated the role of plate tectonics in Earth history. Some creationists accept plate tectonics in a catastrophic form, and believe that those events were a part of the Genesis Flood.
However, others remain skeptical, and a new CRS technical monograph, Plate Tectonics: A Different View, presents their position. Contributing authors include Michael Oard, John Woodmorappe, Carl Froede, and John Reed.
The initial chapters provide an introduction to the issue and a compendium of published criticisms of plate tectonics. Other chapters discuss ongoing problems with subduction, the Wilson Cycle, continental fit, the African Plate, and the inability of plate tectonics to contribute to field interpretation at the Midcontinent Rift.
This book offers a compelling argument that neither uniformitarian nor catastrophic plate tectonics has the evidence needed to support the broad explanatory power that makes them so popular. Like the book says, "A theory that purports to explain everything, must." For anyone with questions about this issue, this book provides many answers and a coherent opposition to plate tectonics.

The Politically Incorrect Guide to Darwinism and Intelligent Design
Jonathan Wells. August 2006. Regnery Publishing. 288 pages.
Evolutionists often make the grandiose claim that evolution is based upon “overwhelming evidence.” Dr. Wells skillfully counters this claim showing there is no "overwhelming evidence" for Darwinism. Instead he argues that what many public schools teach about Darwinism is based on known falsehoods. Yet, these falsehoods continue to be promoted by both educators and scientists. Dr. Wells also reasons that Intelligent Design is based on scientific evidence, not religious belief; and that many scientists at major universities accept in intelligent design. He further challenges the motives and rationale employed by the evolutionary establishment to coheres and intimidate their distracters.

Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth
Larry Vardiman, Andrew A. Snelling, and Eugene F. Chaffin (editors). 2000. Institute for Creation Research and Creation Research Society, 675 pages (hard cover).
This is a status report on the RATE (Radioisotopes and the age of the earth) project. The book discusses isochrons and other experimental results within a creationist young earth time frame. Models for accelerated decay during creation week, the Fall, or during the Genesis Flood are prime hypotheses for explaining radioisotope data. The geophysical and geological histories of rocks and magma sources of igneous rocks must also be considered.

Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth, Vol II
Larry Vardiman, Andrew Snelling, and Eugene Chaffin (editors)
2005. Institute for
Creation Research,
approximately
876 pages.
$80.00 (hard cover).
The age of the earth is an important issue
in Christianity today. If the six-day Genesis
account is fallacious, then how can the rest
of Scripture be relied upon? Radioisotopes
and the Age of the Earth: Results of a Young-
Earth Creationist Research Initiative addresses
the issues raised by the first RATE technical
book in 2000. The RATE team dared
to ask tough questions and has discovered
that radioactive dating methods and their
results are not thorough, consistent, or
reliable. One of the “pillars” of old-earth
evolution really supports the Scriptural
account of “in the beginning.”

Refuting Compromise
A Biblical and Scientific Refutation of "Progressive
Creationism" (Billions of Years), As Popularized by Astronomer Hugh Ross
Jonathan Sarfati. 2004. Master Books, 411 pages.
This is a very scholarly book from an author who not only understands the
theological and scientific issues, but also knows the original Hebrew. The
book is focused mainly at the scriptural and scientific biases of Hugh Ross
and other "progressive creationists." It also includes brief sections on
other compromises, such as the framework hypothesis and the gap theory.
Since the day-age theory is part of "progressive creationism," that concept
is automatically included in the critique of the latter. Chapters include a
thorough analysis of the authority of Scripture, the order of creation, the
days of creation, and the big bang theory. In the end, one wonders how Hugh
Ross can intellectually maintain his position on science and scripture in
the face of such refutations. This book is a must for every creationist
engaged in the fight against compromise.

Refuting Evolution
Jonathan Sarfati. 1999. Master Books. 143 pages.
In 1998 the National Academy of Sciences published and distributed a book to public schools and other institutions entitled Teaching About Evolution and the Nature of Science. The material in that book is meant for indoctrination of students and teachers, and Dr. Sarfati exposes this as misinformation.

Remote Control: The Power of Hollywood on Today’s Culture
BCarl Kerby, 2006. Master Books, 116 pages.
Carl Kerby explains how our culture is brainwashing us with evolution through movies and television. Even innocent, entertaining movies like Fantasia, Ice Age, Lilo and Stitch, The Incredibles, and Finding Nemo, and even some classic children’s cartoons on television promote evolutionary concepts. Parents, as well as young people, need to be aware of this subtle influence.
